I am extroverted and opened to experience new things.Dundas Hill, Hamilton, ON
Here is a photo of me and my friends going to Dundas Hill when we were in grade 11. The story began when one of my friends recommended us to "climb up" the hill, which located quite far from where we lived on a winter day. Despite the muddy, cold and windy weather, we really enjoyed gathering together around the bonfire to roast marshmallows and cheesy sausages! To me, climbing the Dundas Hill was an unforgettable memory, especially when it burned the adventurous fire inside me! |
My name is Jacky Doan. I am a second year Accounting student at Western University. I have recently made one of the most important decisions in my life: I will go to Brazil in summer 2016! Please note that this is not a temporary decision. It is something that I have thought of for a very long time. It all started from my unconditional love for warm weather, beaches, delicious food and adventures. And guess what? Brazil has it all! It is a tropical and extremely beautiful destination that will satisfy my hunger and thirst for adventure. In short, it is a place that I have dreamed of visiting! |
“Never fear quarrels, but seek hazardous adventures.”
- Alexandre Dumas, The Three Musketeers
I strongly believe that the most important factor of any adventure is the novelty of the experience. Particularly, you have to break out of your own comfort zone and emerge into an unfamiliar territory, a place you have never encountered before. This is part of the fun of adventures as you cannot anticipate what the outcome would be!
Also, I love how an adventure can affect me internally as it gives me an opportunity to understand myself further. For example, I am aware that I have certain limits before any adventure; but afterwards, I realize that my limit does not stop there! I am more capable of doing things I thought I could not! These thoughts remain in my head after every adventure and make me a stronger person! That is the power of adventure and it is something I believe everyone should experience!
